Behind Prison Walls
One upon a time, not long ago, a young lady from Westchester County finds herself behind prison walls and now the story is told of how she gets bailed out.
Behind Prison Walls is about being incarcerated with “SELF.” Finding yourself in a prison during your trials and tribulations. Behind prison walls, the only book that represents being incarcerated with self, as well as experiencing life behind prison walls. The main character Davida has experienced some real-life situations growing up. Davida is faced with making some major decisions, and she is definitely one street smart, educated woman.
Davida finds herself in front of some “decision makers” and they show her no mercy. There is a way out of your “prison”, but you must find the right bail bondsman!
Through the program of which Davida Gilchrest is also President/Founder. She speaks with the youth in the community on prominent issues such as gang prevention,
substance abuse, teenage pregnancy, hygiene, self-esteem, respecting authority, incarceration, insecurity, envy, and much more. Davida Gilchrest worked with youth at the Peekskill Youth Bureau, Yonkers School District as the Site Director for Positive Futures Academy After School Program for the Nepperhan Community Center, and was Area Director for the Peekskill Community Action Program and continues to further her education holding an Associate of Arts in Business, Bachelor of Science in Human Services/Management an MBA from The University of Phoenix and currently enrolled in the Doctoral of Philosophy in Health Administration to gain more knowledge in many different areas such as clinical trials, regulations, and knowledge of the healthcare sector. Davida is Certified in suicide prevention and early Intervention and worked as a Drug Safety Specialist for clients with Multiple Sclerosis. Experienced as a Residency Coordinator at Westchester Medical Center in the Anesthesia Department and worked in the OR/ Perioperative division. Youth Counselor/Advocate and Domestic Violence Advocate/Counselor. Davida has worked with the homeless and HIV population. Davida Gilchrest has also done paralegal work in Personal Injury Criminal Law, Immigration Law, and Real Estate. Davida Gilchrest is a faithful member of Greater Centennial A.M.E. Zion Church, a Board Member of the Martin Luther King Institute, a member of the fundraising committee, a loving mother, a diligent entrepreneur, and a savvy businessperson. Her trials have made her stronger and wiser, ready to tackle life’s obstacles head-on. She epitomizes “A True Proverbs 31 Woman.

Davida Gilchrest is the CEO of 4Real Entertainment / CEO/Founder of “KCS” (Keeping Communities Safe) Youth Mentoring Program owner of Davelli Hair Spa named after her two daughters Davianna (Davi)/Ellionah (Ellie) and she is the Author of Behind Prison Walls. Davida Gilchrest served as the Senior Business Manager/Marketing Manager for Prestige Entertainment, currently known as Victory2MultiMedia, where she prepared/implemented marketing plans and secured funds from the public sector in collaboration with the President/CEO. At Prestige, Davida Gilchrest established influential contacts with whom she maintains a strong relationship, such as Megga 97.9, HBO, El Diario, Coca-Cola, Madison Square Garden, MTV, and numerous celebrities in the Rhythm and Blues, Latino, and Pop Industry.
Davida Gilchrest not only started 4Real Entertainment in 1999 but also maintained a full-time position at IBM Corporation as a Senior Executive in Global Financing and the HR Strategy division. Davida Gilchrest has always had diverse interests in communications/marketing, public speaking, and
music, displaying her talents through writing numerous original R&B songs, and poetry, dancing in The Kiss FM Master Mix Show and coming in as fourth runner-up in the 2001 Miss New York State Pageant. She also appeared in a Braid hair magazine in 1999 and recently appeared in the Media Made Magazine in the Summer of 2023. Davida has corporate planning experience, she is a visionary by heart and has finance experience being the founder of a non-profit organization. She has a heap of legal knowledge working as a Paralegal for many law firms and partnering with government agencies and Section 8 offices throughout New York. She has gained extensive experience in board recruitment, fundraising, marketing, and promotions. She is familiar with supply chain, business development, account management, and growing companies having three successful companies of her own. During her free time, she enjoys motivational speaking/teaching and mentoring, which led to the creation of the “KCS”(Keeping Communities Safe) Youth Mentoring Program.

The mission of the KCS Youth Mentoring Program is to empower young people by providing guidance and support on critical issues such as gang prevention, substance abuse, self-esteem, hygiene, and respecting authority.
Davida Gilchrest has extensive experience in the healthcare sector, including working as a Drug Safety Specialist for patients with Multiple Sclerosis and being certified in Suicide Prevention and Early Intervention.
